Nepean

As of 2001, Nepean is no longer the local municipality adjacent to Ottawa, but rather is a large contributing community. Nepean is made up of many smaller neighbourhoods including Rideau View, Mooney’s Bay and Hog’s Back.

Hog’s Back has increasingly become a popular choice for Carleton University students because of the prime location near the school and all amenities, and because of the affordability it offers relative to other neighbourhoods, such as the Glebe or Centertown.

Algonquin students have also taken up residence in Nepean in the many neighbourhoods surrounding Baseline and Woodroffe.
